Medical Detox

Detox if the first step to having a sober life. Detox is the process of removing the drugs from the body. The main purpose of the detox process is to safely manage the withdrawal symptoms that occur when a person stops taking drugs and/or alcohol. Withdrawal from drugs is not only extremely uncomfortable; it can also be dangerous if not done in a safe and monitored environment.

Residential Treatment

Once a patient has undergone and completed a medical detox, he or she will have the option to partake in a residential treatment program. This program is ideal for a patient who has experienced long term addiction but do not have any underlying mental health problems. While some patients may receive adequate treatment in an outpatient setting, people with more severe or long term addiction issues might need residential care. Residential treatment has helped many people face and maintain long term sobriety.

Dual Diagnosis

Dual diagnosis is a term that for when a person experiences a mental illness and a substance abuse disorder at the same time. Dual diagnosis disorders are actually extremely common among people that struggle with addiction and alcoholism and in many cases undiagnosed or untreated mental disorders will lead people to self medicate with drugs or alcohol as a way to “improve” the mental health symptoms they experience.
